Setting visualisation intervals - Granularity offset

Learn how to set up a custom data visualization interval for your axis chart, tables and scatter plots

Introduction

The granularity offset is the option to select the second/minute/day/week interval in which you want to visualize your data from.

For example:

  • View your data every shift, every day starting on Monday at 8am
  • View daily data by setting the start of the day to 4am (instead of midnight by default)

Custom granularity is available for 3 types of graphs:

  • Axis chart
  • Table
  • Scatter plot

Configuration

To set up your custom granularity, first select the quantity that corresponds to your data collection interval. For example, collecting data every 2 days would be:

  • Quantity: 2
  • Unit: Days

Click on the arrow to access the advanced menu. Here you can select the day, time and minutes you want to start collecting your data points

In the example below, the custom granularity has been set to collect data every 2 days at 6pm.
